How does podcast sponsorship become a wide-reaching marketing strategy to reach Gen Z?

In August 2024, our Brand Studio launched the podcast Stadt, Land, Stuss for Sunrise Young—an innovative content format that achieved maximum reach and authenticity with the target audience through a clever combination of engaging podcast content and a well-thought-out distribution strategy. From content conception to production, the entire implementation was handled by our Brand Studio.

The goal was to reach the young target audience aged 18 to 27 across all relevant channels and to promote the Sunrise Young Mobile subscription. Out of the 10 podcast episodes produced, 3 special Sunrise episodes were recorded. The topics? Everything that matters to Gen Z: friendship, dating, money, and mental health.

A 360-degree distribution strategy for maximum reach

To ensure 360-degree communication, the Brand Studio developed a tailored content strategy in which all channels reinforced each other. Over five months, a new podcast episode was released every two weeks. The episodes were promoted through a sophisticated media plan via Blick Bites, display ads, and branded stories on Blick.ch as well as on social media. This way, the target audience was reached exactly where they spend their daily time.
