Ringier Advertising with a new marketing strategy

Ringier Advertising is using the portfolio of the newly established Ringier Media Switzerland unit to realign its marketing activities from 2024. The unit includes the Blick Group and the 20 magazine and journal titles with the highest reach in Switzerland, including Beobachter, Handelszeitung, Bilanz, Cash.ch, Tele, Schweizer Illustrierte, Schweizer LandLiebe, Glückspost, Illustré, PME and others. In future, the focus will be on thematic areas rather than individual media titles.

The combination of Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland and the Blick Group to form Ringier Media Switzerland will simplify cross-title advertising marketing for Ringier Advertising in future. While this was previously focused primarily on individual media titles, Ringier Advertising is now positioning itself in sales in such a way that the focus is on various thematic areas such as sport, sustainability, business and luxury, lifestyle and other topics. From the new year, this will enable Ringier Advertising to think more broadly about advertising campaigns and respond even better to the needs of its customers. There will be no significant changes to the sales staff’s regional divisions and therefore the contact persons for advertisers.

Thomas Passen, Managing Director of Ringier Advertising: “Our customers are increasingly interested in placing their advertising message in the right thematic environment. At the same time, the advertising market is becoming increasingly short-term. By focusing our sales on thematic areas, we can respond to these needs in an even more targeted manner and react to trends with greater agility.”
