Le Temps launches «Regions» project and focuses on regional players in French-speaking Switzerland

On 1 September 2021, Le Temps, which has been owned by the Geneva-based non-profit foundation Aventinus since the start of this year, will launch the «Regions» project and enhance its regional news coverage.

Le Temps is increasing its coverage of local and regional news, with dedicated teams in French-speaking Switzerland. The aim is to provide readers with a new perspective on the regions – on new companies and infrastructure, but also on the conversations that matter and players in the economy, politics and culture.

1,184 km, 7 weeks, 15 stages and 15 teams of 3 video journalists

The start of the «Regions» project will be marked symbolically by the launch of a «Tour de Suisse» by 45 Le Temps journalists on electric bikes, which will be held over seven weeks from 1 September 2021. The event, in partnership with the TCS, will highlight the reinforced presence of the title in the regions by promoting soft mobility. The «Tour de Suisse» of Le Temps journalists will cover 14 cantons. It will focus on everything that is important in our country and that did not exist 23 years ago when Le Temps was founded back in 1998. This 360° project is also supported by marketing activities and reader meetings in the regions.
The Tour will depart from Geneva on 1 September and will arrive in Lausanne at the Forum des 100 on 14 October – to follow the route in real time, click here.
